Icaran Airby ~scuzzbutt

The Icaran Air Service is well known throughout the multiverse as the fastest, non-automated mail service. Its couriers train for years before they are fitted with their own pair of clockwork wings, made from an extremely flexible yet unbelievably strong alloy of metals (the exact composition is known only to the IAS company alchemists who are all bound by extremely magical and legal non-disclosure agreements well past their deaths). The wing material itself is made from the hide of an equally mysterious deep sea lizard (it is rumored to be some sort of dragon, but no actual facts have ever escaped the IAS) and can withstand hurricane strength winds, both cold and hot temperatures and is very water resistant.

The couriers glide from continent to castle like human albatrosses carrying any and every correspondence (from the most humble of letters to formal declarations of war). They are instant ambassadors to every country, state and world and are thusly given free movement to deliver their messages.

I started out wanting to paint a landscape and some sort of clockwork steampunk-ish thing and this is what came out of it. Now I kind of want to further develop the Icaran Air Service (like logos and such)...
